Levelwood Allstars 100/0 in 8.5 overs (Ross Henry 63*, Johnson 26*, Gavin George 0/7) beat Jamestown Heat 96 in 18 overs (Crowie 20, Johnson 5/5, Brendon Leo 2/16)
After a long deplorable wait, finally, cricket has come back to where it belongs and here we are, from the state of Virginia, bringing you all the action of the Knockout Competition, Jamestown.
It was Levelwood Allstars who won the toss and elected to chase the target and they comfortably did the proceedings. Their openers went all guns blazing against the Heat bowlers courtesy some power-hitting from Ross Henry to go with the resilience shown by Johnson. Though they had to chase down a small total of 97 runs, they did it in style and sent a message to other sides in the pool. Ross Henry took the upper hand to hammer 63 runs off just 29 deliveries, his innings contained four maximums and seven boundaries. Majority of his runs came in V. Johnson, the star performer of this game equally supported him by contributing 26 runs, he hit a couple of sixes to go with a four. Jamestown Heat used their six bowling options and all of them went wicketless. No one was even able to apply brakes on the run-flow. Along with that, they conceded as many as 11 extras.
